With the help of volunteers, thousands of tires have been removed from the Lackawanna River Watershed. We are asking for donations because transporting and properly recycling tires at a regional facility costs about $5 each. Due to state regulations, tires can not be taken to local landfills. They need to be taken to tire recycling facilities to be cut up, shredded or recycled to help make cement and asphalt.
For every $5 you donate, a tire that once polluted a habitat can be recycled properly and put to new use, outside of the Lackawanna River!

This is a constant blight within the Watershed. Please consider making a recurring donation.
