On Saturday, September 25, 2021, the Lackawanna River, at Sweeney's Beach, will be the site of RiverFest 2021. This annual festival draws the community outdoors to celebrate the valley and the river that runs through it.
The LRCA moves forward in 2021 to 2022 providing service involving citizens of our watershed with conservation and stewardship of the River, its tributaries and water resources.
RiverFest 2021 Participation Opportunities:

RiverFest is a full day of river activities, music, food and drink, educational & environmental displays, vendors, and fun for all ages and abilities. Join us in this annual celebration of the Lackawanna River, Pennsylvania’s 2020 River of the Year, and its watershed!
Lackawanna River Regatta
The term “regatta” has been applied to any showy contest or parade of ships or boats in which prizes are offered for competition. It is in this spirit of joy and competition that the Lackawanna River Conservation Association (LRCA) is proud to announce the Lackawanna River Regatta.
The Regatta will be conducted by the LRCA as part of the finish line festivities on September 25th at RiverFest 2021.
