The Hope Horn Gallery at the University of Scranton is pleased to extend a Call for Entries to regional artists interested in submitting work for our upcoming juried exhibition The Lackawanna River and Watershed: Art and Interpretation, to be presented at the gallery in Scranton, PA from March 24 through April 11, 2025.
Presented in cooperation with the Lackawanna River Conservation Association, this juried show will explore the cultural and aesthetic significance of the Lackawanna River through contemporary paintings, sculptures, and photographs by regional artists. Sandra Ward Povse, Past Director, Marywood University Art Galleries, and Secretary, Wayne County Arts Alliance, will serve as guest juror. This project is sponsored by the Lackawanna Heritage Valley National and State Heritage Area in Partnership with the National Park Service.

The LRCA was honored to be invited to table at the Wild Women NEPA Festival at beautiful Lazybrook Park in Tunkhannock where nearly 900 women came together to share their energy, passion, and spirit.

Almost two dozen dedicated volunteers from the Chewy facility in Jessup met at the Lackawanna Valley Conservancy’s (LVC’s) new Sterry Creek Preserve on Moosic Mountain for a cleanup.
